This patch as made to commemorate the challenge of roller derby leagues surviving the coronavirus pandemic.

• Bout Betties

The text reads, "roller derby mas alla de la muerte" and translates as "roller derby beyond death".  It was a component in the October 2019 pack from Bout Betties.

Roller derby jeans vest is more of a fashion statement than a patch.  The RDJV page on Facebook is filled with pictures of women sporting this patch on denim jackets.  The patch was created and is sold by Sewciopath.

Shitty City Rollers is currently known as Oulu Roller Derby, although their charter team retains the original name.  The patch has an interesting story behind it.  The character on skates is a potato... probably.  It could also be a piece of shit (see the league name above), although I don't think so.  It's thinking of a bloody piece of meat with the words "fresh meat" written on it.  "Rössyt" is the collective name for their fresh meat skaters.  Rössy (short for Rössypottu) is a traditional dish from the Oulu region made of bloody gelato, meat, and potatoes. It is unclear if fresh meat skaters are given this patch or whether it's for fresh meat graduates.

This is Sidney the Kidney, a symbol of many kidney research fundraisers.  This is a patch Borderland Brawlers Roller Derby made for a 2017 fundraiser after their chairperson, Grrmaid, underwent a kidney transplant.

Thanks to Luetten for explaining this patch.  St. Pauli is one of two professional football clubs in Hamburg.  As is tradition for the bigger German sports clubs, St. Pauli offers more than one sport.  This is a patch for the roller derby subdivision and features the St. Pauli logo.

As I understand it, Team Duschbier is an unofficial name for the Rolling Rhinos of Hannover Rollerderby.  Duschbier is literally "shower beer".  As in, the team drinks beers in the showers a game.  They put this patch out as something of an informal joke.

In the wake of political turmoil in Argentina, the Sailor City Rollers created and sold this patch.  I'm not sure how widely it was made available, but they did sell it at the WFTDA Continental Cup East.  The phrase on the patch translates as, "The people united will never be defeated."
