This is the official patch of the "f/2.8 Fast Glass Around the Derby Track" group on Facebook for derby photographers. According to photographer Dan Crowther...
"F/2.8 refers to the typical maximum aperture of the lenses needed in shoot low light while still maintaining a shutter speed fast enough to capture action. The lower the F number the more light a lens can let in which helps offset the fast shutter speed needed to stop fast action without blur. 'Fast Glass' is a generic term used by photographers refer to lenses that are capable letting in more light than the standard lenses sold with the camera from the store (those lenses are known as 'kit lenses' and often have a max aperture of F/3.5-F/5)."

ExpiredI'm constantly amused this patch only has six blockers.
Goddess on wheels
ExpiredHit like a girl
ExpiredThis patch is easily found on Etsy. The original creator made the pattern available to other vendors, who in turn widely expanded the number of color variations. It's not uncommon to find versions with blue, green, yellow, or orange skates. I've also seen at least one variant with the flowers colored in.
I (love) roller derby
ExpiredThis is a commercial patch also available in other colors.
I hit Nazis with rollerskates
ExpiredThis patch was given out (sold?) by Roller Derby Kiel at their November Pain tournament. It's a back patch which translates as, "I hit Nazis with rollerskates".
I Love My Derby Husband (pink)
ExpiredTeam Spain Men's Roller Derby made four versions of this patch -- pink and blue, derby wife and husband. They sold them as a fundraiser for the Men's Roller Derby World Cup

I Stand Against Bullying
ExpiredI can't remember where I found this, but I remember it was an online vendor that was selling both patch and sticker versions.
Impact City Roller Derby (green)
ExpiredImpact City Roller Derby was a derby-themed board/miniatures game released around 2012. Funded on Kickstarter, the patches were a bonus gift to anyone helping to sponsor early developement of the game. The patches were not included in later editions and are difficult to find today.

Individual skater patches
ExpiredThis is one of a series of made-to-order patches California Mayhem Junior Roller Derby created as part of a league fundraiser. The above picture appears to be a preview of the picture and what the finished work would look like. I've seen a number of other similar pictures like the one above. Just how many patches based on these preview designs were ultimately created and sold is unclear.
Jam or Die
ExpiredA commercial patch that is easily available from many derby vendors.

ExpiredLevel 12 WOFTADAR Referee
ExpiredThis patch is a one-of-a-kind patch that stemmed from a private joke -- don't bother trying to collect it. It began when UK announcer Roller Polar Bear's dog, Patch, died. Two friends thought to cheer him up by creating a special patch for him that included the word WOFTADAR which, when said aloud, is how he pronounces WFTDA with his accent. For fun he decided to start collecting pictures of famous people in derby holding the patch -- I've seen shots of Bonnie Thunders and others holding it -- before announcing the patch (and picture collection) will end on March 30, 2019 when he makes a collage of all the patch pictures with the WOFTADAR patch next to them. You can hear the story for yourself on this podcast starting around the 42 minute mark.
This patch was distributed by La Güestia Roller Derby Asturias. A similar (but not identical) version is also available in red.

Merby is short for "men's derby".

ExpiredOldtime Gangster
ExpiredThe Oldtime Gangsters are the alumni (skaters only? not sure) of Arizona Roller Derby.
Pinup derby girl
ExpiredThis might have been a custom (one-of-a-kind) patch.

ExpiredPure Derby
ExpiredThis isn't actually a league patch, but a fun patch released by Alamo City Rollergirls. Puro is a Spanish for "pure", so this patch basically says "Pure Derby".
Rinxter
ExpiredRinxter was a software package for recording stats like scores and penalties during a game. The primary advantages of the software were to provide statistics to the announcers in real time and to speed up post game reporting
Riots Not Diets
ExpiredThis unusual patch was created by Roller Derby Potsdam aka Prussian Fat Cats. I have no idea what "Avanti" refers to.
Rockers & Rollers
ExpiredIn 2007 a skater named Tequila Mockingbird with Windy City Rollers' The Fury experienced a tragic injury during a game. Her neck was broken resulting in permanent paralysis. Several groups (derby and non-derby alike) came together to hold the Rockers & Rollers fundraiser / Halloween bash on October 27, 2007 to both party it up and raise money for her medical care. The Rockers & Rollers patch was sold exclusively at the event. Like all 2007 patches, it's extremely rare and I'm beyond fortunate that I managed to acquire one. The odd shapes above and behind the roller skate are crankshafts and pistons, most likely a nod that one of the major sponsors of the event was a motorcycle group.
